Sep., 2005-Now: In Fuzhou City, I hold a post as an interpreter as well as translator in a quiet famous shipyard, which is specialized in building all kinds of exported vessels for clients all over the world. I am responsible for translating all materials related to the shipbuilding into Chinese, such as Shipbuilding Specification, Shipbuilding Contract, Maker List, and all sorts of Documents. Meanwhile, I am in charge of receiving foreign ship-owners, and making simultaneous interpretation during the contract negotiation processes. It’s also my duty to communicate with foreign Surveyors at shipyard about technology discrepancies everyday, and tell my colleagues where the problems are. Our clients come from all over the world, the majority of whom are German, Grecian, Icelander, Indian, and Singaporean. Therefore I know well about the update technology of all kind of vessels. In addition, I am extremely well qualified for communicating with foreign clients about everything related to building exported vessels. As for being as an interpreter, I am experienced in negotiating with foreigners about contracts, which benefits me a lot. As for being as a translator, I’ve already translated about 1,000,000 Words. The greater parts of my translations are Shipbuilding Specification, Shipbuilding Contract, and Maker List. I also provide my services that help many medium and small sized enterprises to overcome language and culture barriers, including translations of enterprises’ brief introductions, advertisements, and any other commercial matters.
